A nurturing environment from Nursery to Std 12

We are a secular, non-residential, co-educational school based in Bangalore.

The Brigade School @ Mahadevapura opened on 18 June 2009 with classes extending from Nursery to Standard 6. New classes will be added each year up to Standard 12.

Our motto
O nanna chetana, aagu nee aniketana
O my spirit, transcend all boundaries

Our school motto is taken from the first line of the poem Aniketana, written by Karnataka's poet laureate Kuvempu in 1956.

Aniketana is a poem of universal and timeless relevance.

In this poem, Kuvempu seeks to break out of the narrow confines of home, religion and country, and to reach for the eternal and the universal.

A household name wherever Kannada is read and spoken, Kupalli Venkatappa Puttappa (K.V. Puttappa, 1904-1994) is revered as one of the great Kannada poets of the 20th century. He has written over 70 books, including poetry, novels, essays and plays.

Kuvempu believed in "manuja mata, vishva patha" (mankind's religion is the universal path of all people), a philosophy reflected in several of his poems and essays.

Our 'neighbourhood school' model
We plan to establish small, well-managed schools across the city. This would enable children to get the benefits of our educational model—without the tiresomeness of a long, exhausting commute. Our next school, located in the Brigade Gateway enclave in Malleswaram-Rajajinagar-Yeshwantpur region, opened in June 2010.

Unlike most international schools that are located near the outskirts of the city, The Brigade School @ Mahadevapura is situated well within it. The school is ideally located for families currently living in, or planning to move to, Mahadevapura, Whitefield, Domlur or neighbouring areas.
