  1. Is this a residential school?
    No, it is a day-school.
      
  2. Will transportation be provided for students?
  • The school offers transport facilities to students.
  • The transportation fees for the year must be paid along with the 1st term fees. Requisition for school transport facility should be submitted in the school format before 10th April every year.
  • The pick-up and drop-off points and the route numbers must be clearly indicated by the parent/guardian, in writing, from the list provided.
  • Any change in route will have to be intimated to the school in writing.
  • The fee cannot to reimbursed if the facility is discontinued mid-year by students.
  • Any bus route which does not have a minimum number of students will be discontinued. New bus routes/stops can be introduced if sufficient students are available.
  • School transport students must inform the transport-in-charge if they are not using school transport in the evening.
  • Please ensure that a responsible person is at the pick-up and drop-off points, especially for the primary and pre-primary children.
  • The school is not responsible for the consequences, if these rules are not strictly adhered to.
     
  1. What cocurricular activities will be made available to the students?
    We offer a comprehensive range of cocurricular activities covering sports, art, dance, music, theatre and public speaking.
    We are also very pleased to offer an innovative programme—Mindspace—that has proved to be very popular and successful in The Brigade School @ J. P. Nagar. Through a variety of different activities, Mindspace addresses issues that are of concern to youngsters: careers; the physical, mental and social dimensions of growing up; and intra-and inter-personal skills, to name just a few. Other areas include yoga, lateral thinking, learning to learn and special training for slow learners. In addition, book appreciation, general knowledge, computer workshops, life skills, debates and seminars are all conducted under this section.
     
  2. What are the medical facilities being offered on campus?
    We have a trained nurse, sick room and basic first-aid facilities on campus.

  3. What are the criteria / minimum standards that you have for choosing / selecting teachers?
    Our main selection criteria are appropriate qualifications, attitude and aptitude and proficiency in English.
     
  4. Will foreign languages be a part of the syllabus for the students?
    Yes, we offer French as a second language.
     
  5. Will Kannada be taught?
    Kannada will be taught and classes in conversational or spoken Kannada will be conducted to facilitate familiarity and ease with the language.
     
  6. What do the incidental charges include? Are there any extra expenses, apart from fees?
    Uniforms, course material, transport, special excursions are expenses that will have to be paid for separately.
     
  7. What is the application procedure being followed for the coming academic year?

  9. How many students are allotted to a class?
    We have classes of 36 students each.
     
  10. How is the selection carried out?
    Selection for admissions is based on interactions.
    For those seeking admissions to Pre-primary, an informal interaction will be conducted in which both pupil and parents have to be present.
    In all cases, the final decision of the admission committee will be binding.

  12. What syllabus is followed for entrance interactions?
    There is no specified syllabus for the interactions. Interactions are concept and skill-based rather than syllabus-oriented, i.e., based more on what the student should know at his/her age.
     
  13. How will an applicant know the dates for interactions and meetings?
    Applicants will be informed directly by the school administration regarding the dates.
     
  14. How will the Pre-primary academics be?
    It combine the best from Montessori and standard teaching practices. Classes will be fun-filled and activity based.
