About Brigade School (Gateway)

An active calendar for everyone

Academics are just one aspect of our curriculum. An equally important part of it is participation in cocurricular activities that foster a spirit of involvement and collaboration, create self-confidence and contribute to the physical, social and emotional development of the child.

A range of engrossing activities…
We offer a comprehensive range of such activities, in the areas of sports, art, dance, music, theatre and public speaking. We will also have special interest clubs and organise field trips and community outreach projects.

Sports facilities include a swimming pool and ample grounds / facilities for table tennis, tennis, football, volleyball and basketball. Athletics also have pride of place, with 200m and 100m tracks.

…including Mindspace
We are also very pleased to offer an innovative programme—Mindspace—that has proved to be very popular and successful across The Brigade Schools.

Through a variety of different activities, Mindspace addresses issues that are of concern to youngsters: careers; the physical, mental and social dimensions of growing up; and intra-and inter-personal skills, to name just a few. Other areas include yoga, lateral thinking, learning to learn and special training for slow learners. In addition, book appreciation, general knowledge, computer workshops, life skills, debates and seminars are all conducted under this section.

The Mindspace team includes trained counsellors and specially trained teachers to address learning disabilities.

Parents are encouraged to join the programme by attending specially organised talks and activities.
