CO - CURRICULAR
Thoughts on learning
We live in rapidly changing times within a rapidly transforming world. In this new environment, knowledge and learning have to be looked at somewhat differently.
Today, knowledge is something that is easily accessed and quickly outdated. So how you learn-the process of learning-is as important as what you learn.
Our world today is a very interconnected one. A certain vision-awareness of other cultures, countries, disciplines, developments, economies and perspectives-is a pre-requisite to understanding all that happens around us. We believe that the more children want to know, the more they will enjoy learning and the better equipped they will be to deal with all aspects of the world around them.
An active calendar for everyone
Academics are just one aspect of the curriculum. An equally important part of it is participation in co-curricular activities that foster a spirit of involvement and collaboration, create self-confidence and contribute to the physical, social and emotional development of the child.
A range of engrossing activities...
We offer a comprehensive range of such activities, in the areas of sports, art, dance, music, theatre and public speaking. We organise field trips and community outreach projects.
We also have a swimming pool and ample grounds for football, volleyball and basketball. Athletics also has a place of pride, with a 200m track. Field events like long jump and shot put are also part of our facilities.
Mindspace, an innovative programme, has proved to be very popular and successful across The Brigade Schools.
Arts & Performing arts
The fine arts play an important role in the overall development of a child. Exposure to music, dance, theatre and visual arts enables personal, social and intellectual growth.
